In-Home Care Services

Elderly Companion Care
Companion Care for the elderly has been shown to improve the quality of life, for many seniors. The listening ear of a friendly caregiver goes a long way. We provide quality companion care services to our clients.
Medication Prompting
One of the key factors in keeping anxiety at bay is for clients to remain in their home where things are familiar and safe. We can help with medication prompting.
Meal Preparation & Diet Monitoring
Meal preparation and diet monitoring are critical to health and wellbeing and our in-home care professionals will help our clients with this vital function.
Transportation
Our transportation service comes complete with a companion to ensure the safety of the client. Visiting friends, church, doctor appointments, taking your pet to the vet, or running errands are all examples of services we provide.

1 hour to 24 hour Care
This service is one that sets us apart from the rest. We will commit to 1 hour shifts.
Skilled Care vs. Non-Skilled Care
Skilled care is prescribed by a physician, in which the patient needs additional help. This includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. Skilled care is typically covered by Medicare or other private insurance and overseen by a registered nurse. Skilled care usually lasts an hour depending on the therapy prescribed.
Non-skilled care is not paid for by Medicare; it is paid for by the client. Services may include, companion care, meal prep, diet monitoring, housekeeping, errands, transportation, and pet care. Most of these agencies have a minimum of 4 hours or more. Friends of the Family offer care from 1 hour to 24 hours and provide far more than the average non-skilled agency.
